Pao Strickland is a fitness and wellness coach with over 35 fitness certificates from NASM, AFAA, Fitour, IDEA, YMCA, LAFitness, Speedo, Life Time Fitness, Zumba, Beachbody; and 10+ years group fitness experience.
Pao was an underprivileged kid, raised by her grandmother (a dance performer) and her mom. She learned early that dance was a great way for the imagination to get you through the problems and pressures of life.
Thanks to her performing arts abilities and accomplishing excellent grades in math and science, she was able to attend the best private schools and model part-time. Prior to being a full time fitness and wellness professional, Pao worked full time as a Chemical Engineer for environmental companies designing equipment to purify water and creating EPA reports to maintain our healthy natural resources.
Health and wellness have always been close to her heart. Her personal experiences have touched on bulimia and anorexia as well as close family members succumbing to Type 2 Diabetes, obesity and the side effects of poor eating habits. These life experiences helped her discover her purpose in life is to help others live a HAPPY, ACTIVE, HEALTHY lifestyle, and teach that through movement we are all PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL and that all we need is the human body… the best engineered machine.
She has the passion and drive to help others feel good, forget about their everyday stress, strengthen their hearts, feel more confident and become aware of the blessing of having a healthy body. Thanks to two back to back car accidents, she learned how to use Yoga/Pilates (poses/exercises) to help her recover her strength and ability to teach. This also helped her realize that many others could benefit from the fusion of an easy to follow cardio dance and easy to do Yoga/Pilates format. From this discovery…LatinFitFlowTM was born.
Today, Pao teaches fitness and wellness and is the proud mom of a 4-year-old son. As the Creator and Founder of LatinFitFlowTM, she directs online fitness classes for women who feel judged or feel too shy to attend gyms/studios. She also teaches live classes and leads fitness and wellness events. Her GOAL is to HELP others with their HEALTH and teach them that movement is fun and beauty is found in any FLOW of the body.
